Hahahaha.  So true.

Here at WCFSO we are in the midst of overhauling our season ticket order form but I don’t think we’re quite ready to make the jump to Rob Elliott’s ‘improved’ concert hall seating map.

I should have found this!!!!

thedailywhat:

Badass Bridge of the Day: The Moses Bridge, as its name suggests, is pedestrian bridge that creates the illusion of walking through water — in this case, the West-Brabant waterline near Fort de Roovere in the Netherlands.
Designed by RO & AD Architects, the bridge was built using Accoya wood, a type of modified wood that offers the enhanced durability necessary to sustain a sunken bridge.

Incredible.

tweten:

It looks like a rainbow on fire, but this phenomenon is as cold as ice. Known in the weather world as a circumhorizontal arc, this isn’t a rainbow in the traditional sense—it is caused by light passing through wispy, high-altitude cirrus clouds. What’s more, the hexagonal ice crystals that make up cirrus clouds must be shaped like thick plates with their faces parallel to the ground. photo by raymond lam

Awesome, awesome covers.  Love them.  New design ideas for the music room?

jasonweinberger:

A colorful collection of designs by record cover pioneer Alex Steinweiss, who died last week at the age of 94. Earlier in the year I linked to an epic Taschen monograph of his work as well as a chronological survey of his covers on Flickr. NPR has a remembrance by Steven Heller [the Taschen survey author] of the man who single-handedly established record jacket design as a legitimate art form.
